ICE contract could bring controversial surveillance tech to American streets

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reactivated a contract with Paragon Solutions, a tech company implicated in an Italian spy scandal. The breach appears related to a wave of attacks on companies’ Salesforce databases. Sensitive personal information belonging to 4.4 million customers, including names and Social Security numbers, was exposed in a data breach on credit bureau TransUnion, in what is believed to be the latest in a string of attacks targeting companies’ Salesforce databases. {Read full article here}
